Welcome To Brick Street Cinema

There is a story behind every wedding day; one that’s taken years to craft and plan. This is much bigger than one moment or any sequence of events that might happen over the course of a wedding. This is for a lifetime. This is for generations before and those that are yet to come.

We do wedding films a little differently here. We’re much more interested in making a connection that allows us to deliver your personal story in a way you might not have thought was possible. We subscribe to a quality over quantity method, meaning we would rather handcraft a tailor made film for you than to create a cookie-cutter video that feels more like a paint-by-numbers excercise than a film. It’s not fair to you or us, as filmmakers.

Inspiration is a big word around here. Weddings are inspiring and that’s why we shoot them. Inspire us and we’ll do our best to do the same for you.

Matt and Kim Hanline

DJ Professionals & Video had the honor of being a part of Matt and Kim Hanline’s dream wedding at Bald Head Island.  The rain held off for the newlyweds just long enough to have a gorgeous beach ceremony before they headed to the Harbour Pavilion for the reception.

Brick Street Cinema videographers Matt Evans and Anne Liles were on site to capture all the memories of the day.

Brunswick Towne Florist provided beautiful arrangements for the ceremony and reception and Crazy Cake Chicks created the cake, which was just as delicious as it looked!  A day that was so much fun was made even better for this DJ as the guests spent the entire night on the dance floor.

It was an absolute pleasure to work such a wonderful event and on behalf of everyone here at DJ Professionals & Video and Brick Street Cinema I want to thank Matt and Kim for choosing us to be a part of your amazing day.

Jay and Tiffany McDaniel

Some couples decide that when it comes to their wedding day they are going to go all out. Jay and Tiffany McDaniel are one of those couples! For Jay and Tiffany’s special day we combined services from DJ Professionals & Video, The Audio Visual People and Brickstreet Cinema to deliver for them a wedding day they will never forget.

Brickstreet Cinema videographers were on hand to film the bride and groom’s entire day while Ray Baca with Baca Photography was there to capture each precious moment in still form. Ray’s work is always impressive and as you can see by the attached photos this day was no exception.

The ceremony took place at Airlie Gardens with the reception immediately following at the always beautiful Upper Room here in downtown Wilmington. The venue was decked out in black and white with over 20 lights from The Audio Visual People set up around the room supplying color and water effects. Between the amazing lights and beautiful flowers and centerpieces provided by Moxie Floral Design Studio, the Upper Room was absolutely stunning.

Food and a well stocked bar were provided by Middle of the Island Catering and as always, it was delicious. In combination with supplying DJ services for the evening, DJ Professionals & Video also provided a photo booth for the couple and their guests to enjoy. The photo booth was a hit with the guests and provided what I can only imagine to be some pretty interesting shots throughout the evening.

Jay and Tiffany along with their guests packed the dance floor throughout the night. Needless to say this pleased us greatly. On behalf of everyone here at DJ Professionals & Video, The Audio Visual People and Brickstreet Cinema, I want to thank Jay and Tiffany for allowing us to play such a big part in your special day. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness.

Jonathan and Brittany Griffiin

What a beautiful day on Bald Head Island for the wedding of Jonathan Griffin and Brittany Cole. The weather was truly perfect. At the end of Bald Head Island is a place called “The Shoals Club”. If you have never had the opportunity to take in the breathtaking scenery at The Shoals Club, it should be on your list of things to do in the near future! From the back of the club, you have a 180 degree view of the Atlantic Ocean and on a day like this one, it is simply breathtaking.

Brittany and Jonathan had their ceremony at the chapel on the island, another of its many gorgeous settings. With the ceremony completed, they proceeded to have picures and video taken on the beach. Pictures were captured by the ever talented Anne McGowan and videography services were provided by our own Brick Street Cinemas. The couple then gathered their bridal party and after a quick line up proceeded to have each couple dance in to their own music! These guys definitely came to have a good time! With dances, dinner and some heart wrencing toasts out of the way, we started their dance party. Not only did the couple stay on the dance floor all night, but their guests were right there with them! It was truly a pleasure to be chosen to provide DJ services for the new Mr. & Mrs. Jonathan and Brittany Griffiin. We here with DJ Professionals & Video and Brick Street Cinema wish them a long and prosperous new marriage.

A Same Day Edit Double Feature

Playing a bit of catch up this week, we present to you not one, but TWO same day edit videos from the month of October! Both couples were such a pleasure to work with, and we wish them all the best as they begin their lives together!

You couldn’t ask for better weather! And Figure 8 Island is always an amazing place for a ceremony. This is our same day edit from Drew & Katie’s wedding. This couple definitely knows how to have a good time. I loved the gift for the bride. It only took her 10 minutes to open it due to the clever wrapping of the groom. At the end of the night, the couple sailed away on an amazing yacht! Perfect end to a perfect day! Congratulations Drew and Katie!

We took a trip down to Ocean Isle Beach to take part in Kevin & Stephanie’s beachside ceremony. The clouds were threatening us all morning and afternoon with rain, but it held out. The sky cleared up and the sun came out to brighten up the shoreline just in time for the bride to walk down the isle! Afterwards, the party went on all night at their beach house! What a fun couple to work with. Both so genuine and nice, it was a pleasure to capture your memories for you and, of course, congratulations!

Matt + Maura: A Story Of Us

It was fun hanging out with Matt and Maura for the day. We started shooting at their home to get to know them better and find out what they had in mind for the big day! Then we loaded up the cameras and canines and headed to Landfall for some fun in the sun! The outcome is their Story Of Us. How did they meet? What are they excited about on the big day? Who will be the ring bearer and flower girl? All of this and more are answered in our little showcase of Matt and Maura! Congratulations to the happy couple!
